We are very pleased to be offering a 5-day West Coast SEA Program sailing adventure for next school year, in the Fall of 2024.  This opportunity is open to next year's grade 8 & 9 students (This year’s 7’s & 8’s ). Information will be going out to students in grade 7 & 8 next week.

There will be an optional parent information meeting on Thursday, April 4 at 7:00 pm, at the school, for any parent who wants to see the presentation and have any other questions answered about this opportunity. Application packages will be available at this time.  Applications can be submitted without parent attendance at the information meeting.

Youth & Philanthropy Initiative

This year grade nine students took part in the Youth and Philanthropy Initiative (YPI Canada). YPI is an international initiative designed to support young people in developing community awareness. Students are being taught about philanthropy and charity through an experience of giving that highlights the positive impact they can have on their community.

Students researched the needs of their community and identified a local charity they believe is best the place to make a positive change. Students used their research to make presentations on the reasons why their chosen charity is most deserving of support. The team judged to have made the most compelling presentation will be awarded a $5,000 YPI Grant to award to their charity.

On Tuesday, March 19, starting at 8:30am, six groups of students will present, and one group will be awarded the grant for their charity. Parents and community members are welcome to come and watch our grade nines shine 😊
