Health & Wellness at the CBE
At the CBE, we believe in a whole school approach to health and wellness. We call this our Comprehensive School Health (CSH) approach. CSH is about healthy eating, active living, supportive social environments and positive mental health. As a system, we focus on the following four areas: healthy eating; healthy relationships; physical activity; and positive mental health. Each school creates its own approach and goals for health and wellness.

School Initiatives
MHS is excited to have partnered with Foundations for Addiction and Mental Health (FAMH) in order to help educate and support our school community as we navigate addiction and mental health.
Teachers spent a morning, at the beginning of the school year, engaged in a professional development session, facilitated by FAMH, designed to educate staff around these important issues so as to better prepare us all to support our students.
During our recent 'Meet The Teacher' event we offered a parent information session as part of our ongoing commitment to work collaboratively with parents/guardians as we work towards our common goal of fostering a safe, positive and caring environment for all students.
Lastly, the team from FAMH spent three days in our school working with all students in grades 7-9 discussing youth mental health and addictive behaviours.
