Health & Well-Being

Parents/Guardians are invited on Wednesday, November 6, at 6:30 for a presentation and discussion around anxiety and youth.  Please access Eventbrite to register.   Pre-registration is encouraged to assist with planning, but walk ins are welcome as well.  This is an important topic as we navigate a post-pandemic social media landscape.

School Pick up/Drop Off

As we are starting a new school year, we are reiterating our school policy around the use of the staff parking lot.  There is to be NO drop off or pick up in the school parking lot.  It is not safe for vehicular traffic during school hours or before/after school due to the student population walking through the parking lot.  The handicap parking space is not to be used unless needed for a handicapped/sick/injured student.  Parents are asked to have their students walk to the sidewalk to meet them.

Purdys Band Fundraiser

We're starting our new band fundraiser on October 7 for the year, to raise money for band trips and to support our program. This fundraiser will be for Purdy's Chocolates. The opportunity to go on a band trip is very vital for our students. The fundraiser will run from October 7th – 31st. To order, just click the link, register with your email address, and order goodies! Feel free to share the link with friends, family, and co-workers. Our orders will be delivered mid-November (tentatively the week of Nov 14). A pick up announcement will follow closer to the date.

Thank you in advance for helping to support our band students!

Weather Change – Outdoor Apparel

As the weather is starting to change for the cooler, as fall/winter temperatures set in, students and parents are reminded to make sure students are dressed for the weather.  We are noticing students showing up to school without jackets.  Students can be expected to remain outside for extended periods of time for many different reasons (firedrills, phys ed community walks, phys ed class, etc).  By CBE policy, students can be expected to be outside to a temperature of -20 degrees celcius, and should dress accordingly for these instances as the weather changes.

Lunchroom News

Please see the Menu for all of the available items for purchase, for the month of October, in the cafeteria.  Subway, A&W and Jugo Juice orders can now be placed through the Healthy Hunger portal.
