Canadian Heritage Trip 2025 – Ottawa, Montreal, Quebec City
Parents of next year’s grade 8 & 9 (this year grade 7 & 8) students are invited to an information meeting on Thursday, November 28, at 7:00 pm, in the school gym. The Canadian Heritage Trip is an opportunity for any next year’s grade 8 or 9 student to participate in a 6-day, activity filled, educational trip to Ottawa, Montreal, & Quebec City. This trip will take place in October 2025. Students were given an introduction about this opportunity in class this week. The application process, costs, itinerary, curriculum connections, timelines, and any questions will be addressed at the meeting on Thursday, November 28, at 7:00 pm. Please feel free to come by and gather more information about this amazing opportunity offered to McKenzie Highlands grade 8 & 9 students!

Lunch Club News
Next week we will continue our yoyo club during the second half of lunch break. As always students can also choose to play a board game, read a book or do any of the other quiet activities offered.
Mondays: Grades 5

Scholastics Book Fair
The book fair is coming to our Learning Commons!
During the week of December 2-6, students are welcome to come in to the LC to purchase books, posters and fun school supplies. This important fundraiser helps our school to earn free books for our library collection.
The book fair will be open for sales the following times...
- Lunch breaks: Monday through Thursday from 12:50 until 1:18, students can come during their regular lunchbreak grade day (as seen in the above Lunch Club News).
- After School: Monday through Thursday from bell time until 3:45 p.m.
- Family Fair: On Tuesday, December 3, our fair will also be open from 4:30-7:30 pm for a family event. Students are invited to bring family members to the event to enter the draw to earn $20 worth of free Scholastic products.
