When planning your outfits, remember to be respectful, inclusive, and considerate of all cultures, abilities, and backgrounds. Thank you and can't wait to see what everyone comes up with!

Spring Pep Rally

Get ready to bring the energy and show your school spirit at our Spring Pep Rally! The highlight of the event? A thrilling Students vs. Teachers Volleyball Game—who will take the win this year?

But that’s not all! We’ve got plenty of fun games and challenges lined up for students to jump in and participate. Whether you're competing, cheering, or just soaking in the excitement, there’s something for everyone!

The Spring Pep Rally will take place on Friday April 11! Be sure to wear your team colours and show some McKenzie Highlands school spirit!

Grade 4 & 5 Drumming Workshop

The grade 4 and 5 classrooms welcomed Indigenous Drummer and Knowledge Keeper Mr. Wolfleg, into our classrooms today, and the students absolutely loved the experience!

Book Series Highlight

The Inheritance Cycle by Christopher Paolini.  When Eragon finds a polished blue stone in the forest, he thinks it is the lucky discovery of a poor farm boy; perhaps it will buy his family meat for the winter. But when the stone brings a dragon hatchling, Eragon soon realizes he has stumbled upon a legacy nearly as old as the Empire itself.  Overnight his simple life is shattered, and he is thrust into a perilous new world of destiny, magic, and power.

It’s Game Time!

If students can guess the common theme among the books on our highlight shelf next week, they can earn a sweet treat.

Author Quote of the Week

“Books are my friends, my companions. They make me laugh and cry and find meaning in life. “- Christopher Paolini, author of The Inheritance Cycle series.
