Important Dates

*IMPORTANT UPDATE (Grade 7 Outdoor School)*

Please note that the date for the parent meeting for the Grade 7 Outdoor School trip has been revised due to a conflict with the upcoming Band Trip.

New Date – Wednesday 23 April at 7:00pm

This meeting should be no longer than one hour depending on questions. It is important that at least one parent/guardian is in attendance for this meeting. Students are not required to attend the meeting.  This meeting will be taking place in the main gym, for the in-person option, but there will also be a link sent out for a ‘virtual’ option.

As Physical Education classes begin to go outside again, please remind your child to have appropriate footwear and clothes for outdoors.

Lunch Club News

Due to student requests, we will be continuing to run the paper airplane club for three more weeks.  Following this we will be starting our Manga style drawing club and finish the year with our chess club.  As always, students are always welcome to come in to play board games, create with Lego, or do any of the other quiet activities available. 

The grade breakdown for lunch club is as follows, and takes place during the second half of lunchbreak:

Mondays:  Grades 5

Tuesdays: Grade 6

Wednesdays: Grade 4

Thursdays:  Grades 7-9

Book Series Highlight

Fireborne series by Rosaria Munda (Recommended grade 7 & up)

Fireborne follows Annie and Lee, two former orphans who become dragon riders in a world reborn after a brutal revolution, as they navigate political intrigue, rising tensions, and a potential war, while also grappling with their feelings for each other and their beliefs about justice and power.

It's Poetry Month!

So with this in mind, our LC will be transforming into a poetry café during the last week of April.  We welcome all the melodic misters and sonneteer sisters in grade 5 to recite their favourite poems to all their fellow cool cat classmates.  There will be clicks of applause, refreshments and plenty of atmosphere.
