On Behalf of the McKenzie Highlands Faculty, we wish our students and families a restful, joyous and fun-filled holiday season.  We have been keeping students busy since September with academics, athletics and performance, including some high intensity soccer and basketball tournaments, planning the school play, band performances, assemblies and pep rallies, citizenship activities, field trips, and epic Legend times.

A special shout out to our parent/guardian volunteers and Council members.  The time and energy put toward our casino and fundraising initiatives, volunteering for field trips (nothing quite like a bus load of junior high kiddos), and your close alignment to our core work is so greatly appreciated.  These opportunities for students are where enduring memories are created.  Thank you!

We return to school on January 8 and online report cards will be available for viewing on January 31.  We hope our students get plenty of time to rest and relax over Winter Break and return ready to put their best foot forward. Our grade 9 students will be busy with preliminary transitions for high school, including tours and orientations to Lord Beaverbrook, our designated high school.

We greatly appreciate and enjoy working with your children; they come to school with a smile (most days), are quick to say hello and hold a door open for others, and they never let us down with their enthusiasm and spirit.

Best wishes for a wonderful holiday and to new adventures in 2024.

Mr. Martin/Ms. Jernigan
